Akshay Kumar: I will never direct

Superstar Akshay Kumar has produced many films under his home production Hari Om Entertainment but the “Khiladi” star says he has no plans of turning director.

The 48-year-old Baby actor, who has completed 25 years in the industry, wants to do more varied roles and produce good films. “My journey of 25 years has been great. I have managed to spend so many years in the industry that means I am doing good work. I will try to stay in this industry and do different roles and produce films. But, I will never direct,” Akshay said during the promotion of his upcoming film, Singh is Bliing.

In the film, which releases this Friday, the Holiday star will be seen opposite British model-actress Amy Jackson. Akshay says importing artists from abroad does not mean India is short of talented people.

“There is nothing like Indian actresses won’t be able to pull of action scenes. In the film the girl doesn’t understands Hindi and Amy was perfect in that case.

“Our Prime Minister is trying to bring international companies to our country so that we grow more, similarly we want to make our industry international and bring in talent from overseas. We want this import of international talent to be seen positively.”

The actor, who faced flak during Anees Bazmee’s Singh is King, also got stuck in some issues during Prabhudheva’s directorial venture, but has finally managed to get clearance from the concerned authorities.

“There have been no problem with Singh is Bliing. Some small issue was there initially, but now the film has been cleared by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and Censor Board,” he said.

Ranbir Kapoor & Farhan Akhtar Are In Legal Trouble For Allegedly “Duping” People

Ranbir Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar are in some legal trouble. Apparently, the two have been promoting an online shopping portal which has disappointed a customer.

An FIR has been registered by a lawyer in Lucknow who had ordered a 40-inch LED TV worth Rs 29,999 which he had paid for by his debit card. He was promised that his order would be delivered to him within 10 days, but it didn’t. Here’s Why Fawad Khan Won’t Do Intimate Scenes!

Fawad Khan recently opened up about his discomfort in doing intimate scenes on-screen toFilmfare. The actor, who made our ovaries explode (quite literally), is not really into showing his sexy moves in front of the camera. Here’s what he said about his firm stance and Pakistan’s sensibilities –

“See, doing intimate scenes is something I’m uncomfortable with right now. I’ve mentioned that a couple of times before as well. Because it will not appeal to the sensibilities of my audience back home. I have to go back and work there. I won’t be a girgit (chameleon) and change my colours just because I’m working here. Well, that’s my point of view.”

Well, we have our imagination so it’s okay Fawad, don’t be a girgit!

You Can Now #LoseItLikeBhumi Because Bhumi Pednekar Is Sharing Her Fun Weight Loss Secrets With You!

A few days ago, I had written an open letter to all the girls who are trying to lose weight. And in that, I had mentioned how actresses like Parineeti Chopra and Bhumi Pednekar definitely continue to inspire a lot of us by reaching their #FitnessGoals. While Pari recently opened up about battling obesity like never before, Bhumi has now pledged to help those who want to shed some kilos by sharing her fun weight loss secrets. Here are her messages for you!

“For somebody who stormed into your worlds weighing 89kgs, I can imagine how difficult it can be for you to digest the fact that I am now just 57kgs. Reminds me of those weight-loss advertisements they show on late night television – the excited anchor selling you the dream shape / weight where you make no effort at all. As far as I am concerned, I had to make a serious effort, but it isn’t as insane or Herculean as it is being imagined by many of you. And for all those, who think that ‘losing weight is impossible’ – for you guys – it’s a BIG FAT NO.”

“Since my weight loss, I have been asked by many about how I cracked this – some for curiosity, some for inspiration. I went through an interesting regime that involved some really effective workout routines, and a healthy diet pattern. Thought I’ll share some of these fun and super easy things I did to lose weight with you – every Wednesday – you can check for yourself if it works. I could give you a ‘money back guarantee,’ but it’s the internet… so ;)”

And her first #LoseItLikeBhumi tip is:

“Since my film released, there was this one question I was always asked – How did you lose your weight? I have spoken about my journey very often. But I didn’t know how to communicate with you guys better… So after a lot of thinking I realized, let’s start sharing some fun things I did to lose weight with you guys. I hope it’s of some use :)) So here is my first post!!!

I had read a lot about – How drinking enough water is important. It absolutely is!!! But how often do we manage drinking 6 to 7 litres of water..not very. I do it now and trust me, water is a boon for your body. I wanted to make this habit a lot more fun, and I found this thing called detox water. It cleanses and detoxifies your body. Lemon not only cleanses your body but also makes it alkaline. It also boosts your immunity. Mint aids digestion and gives the drink some sweetness without any sugar. Cucumber has several benefits – it’s good for your skin, it keeps your body hydrated, and it contains anti inflammatory properties. In short, it’s good for you. Just pop it your sipper and keep sipping on it…one of the things I tried…”

I can’t wait to try this detox water. Also, I am already awaiting next Wednesday!

Talvar’s pre-production cost equals post-production

The effort in opening different facets of the murder of 14-year-old Aarushi Talwar and her family’s domestic servant Hemraj on the big screen with “Talvar” was arduous. The film’s makers had to do extensive research over two years to make the film a reality, says one of the producers.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film stars Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma and Tabu. According to a statement, the pre-production cost of “Talvar” is equal to post-production because of the intense research. With Gulzar’s lyrics, Vishal Bhardwaj’s music and cinematography by Pankaj Kumar, famous for his work in “Haider” and “Ship Of Theseus”, the thriller is a fictional dramatisation of true life events revolving around the investigation into the 2008 murder. The film required extensive research as it showcases three point of views relating to the double-murder. And the makers didn’t want to leave any loose ends and hence conducted a thorough survey of the case by undertaking an in-depth recce of all the places holding importance in the murder case. Although “Talvar” had a modest budget at the production level, the makers never wanted to compromise at the pre-production level. “Vishal-ji and Meghna have had extensive research teams, who have researched for over two years prior to commencing shoot for the film to give all sides of the case,” said Priti Shahani, president of Junglee Pictures, co-producer of “Talvar”. The film is set to release in India on October 2.
