Salman Khan’s recent comment on competition with Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar had made headlines. Though Tubelight actor felt that it will be a tough competition for them, his close friend SRK on his part, at the launch of Ted Talks India: Nayi Soch, told indianexpress.com, “What Salman and Akshay are doing, they are in a league of their own and to be honest, I am not competing with anyone.”
No one can beat Shah Rukh Khan when it comes to wit. The Raees actor is making a comeback to the small screen with Star Plus’ Ted Talks India: Nayi Soch. SRK, would be the presenter, who would have inspirational figures on his show sharing their journey and life-changing stories. At the launch of Ted Talks India, the king of Bollywood floored all with his charm and smart answers, as he spoke about the show, which he shared he is doing not for money but with heart.
While he spoke at length about the new series, indianexpress.com asked SRK on his take on Salman commenting that it’s going to be a tough competition for SRK and Akshay. Flaunting his dimpled smile, he replied, “What Salman and Akshay are doing, they are in a league of their own and to be honest, I am not competing with anyone. It’s sweet and wonderful what Salman said but no, there’s no comparison. Having said that, I will not say that this show is so different that we are not competing with others. We are here to provide equal entertainment to the audience. But this is a one-of-a-kind platform with a different sensibility. Both Salman and Akshay are doing wonderful things but we are trying something really new. Not trying to be better or worse but it will just be moving on its own lane.”

Talking further about the concept, he shared, “It is an extremely hopeful and inspiring show. It will have entertainment but it’s not plugged in to get a decided amount of ratings or viewership. We will be only competing with ourselves. What Ted Talks and Star have done over the years, we are trying to do better and give our best in every way.”
As readers would recall, indianexpress.com at the launch of Bigg Boss 11 asked Salman whether he is prepped up to compete with Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan who are all set to play host in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and Ted Talks India: Nayi Soch, respectively.
The Bajrangi Bhaijaan star had then told us, “I think Shah Rukh and Akshay are amazing. Shah Rukh is a great host and so is Akshay. He has also got an amazing comic timing and is quite witty. On the other hand, Shah Rukh has his own personality, his own style, swag, and charisma. I think it’s going to be quite a tough competition.” And then with a mischievous pause, he added, “for them,” before breaking into an infectious laughter.
